The following are GameSpy Master Servers hosted by C&C IRC and W3dHub
 
renmaster.cncirc.net renmaster-backup.cncirc.net renmaster-backup2.cncirc.net renlist.w3dhub.com  
It is highly recommended that these be the only two servers in your servers configuration.
 
In the event of a future outage of the master server, the backup will kick in to meet the needs of the Renegade community through RenList.
 
edit: Updated 2019-03-25 with another backup GSA server. Sometime in the future we should have a load balanced server list.

So I know we haven't done much on the forums in the last year plus. Just wanted to give a quick update to recent changes:
 
Donation goals have been updated (finally). Our server bills were recently lowered thanks to some couponing and frugal shopping around by @Cronus and myself. Our primary server bills are now only $60.00 USD per month which includes everything we currently host: Renegade (NewMaps, BlackEagle, reb00b, Mutant Co-Op, etc), this website, our domain costs (including C&C IRC), and forum licensing costs.
 
In addition, I have added two more goals you can see on the sidebar of the main forums: Renegade-X and Minecraft servers; these are small expansion goals of $20 and $10 respectively, and we hope to make available to you. These are separate goals from our main server bills to more clearly indicate what servers have more (financial) support. All funds will still be pooled into the general fund, though.
 
Forum cleanup has been initiated. Those of you with access to our Premium and Development Area will notice their descriptions have been changed to redirect traffic to our Discord. These forums are archived (read-only) for the time being. Not sure what we'll do with them yet. I went ahead and removed the Unreal Tournament and ARK sections (posts moved to our archive board) since there was no activity in them and since we no longer host a redirect service.
 
Server and development updates are very slowly progressing. @Unstoppable has been working on a multitude of projects ranging from a new Discord bot, Black Eagle's CTF server including a ranking page for it, and a secret-ish project with me for MPF. I haven't kept up in development as much as I should have, but I'll be getting back into the swing of things in the next couple months hopefully. We now host a development server for @reborn so that he can create some goodies for MPF.
 
Some personal updates for the staff:
 
I (Genesis) have been out of commission for a while due to PC issues and some minor mental health needs (nothing serious; a little bit of anxiety). I've just started my University career really late it feels (30 years old) given the career with which I'm aiming, and I've been tired from writing so much. 
 
@unknown has been dealing with forest fires in Australia recently. He also maintains our GS02 game server (NewMaps) primarily, and he manages to coordinate everyone well enough and keep everyone updated on the happenings of the servers and community.
 
@Wyld has been incommunicable for a while, and no one has been able to reach him for over a year now.
 
@Cronus has been just working at his day job and chilling and doing IT work for Totem Arts (the team behind Renegade-X). 
 
@alexrirak has been working at his day job and chilling. He pops in often to check on things and do some small coding projects and forum fixes.
 
@FeaR has been providing a PayPal account for your donations and working.

Alot of old ren folks that left renegade years ago, came back and love RenegadeX. The preference is just all over the place.  RenegadeX is made "in the style" of Renegade, But it is its own game. With many different features and gameplays

@Scopes I'm and other server owners massively renamed the game servers. Jan has done a lot for the community and for me.

Ill gonna miss the sound of his coffee machine on teamspeak it was something special he was awesome in all ways always kind and helpful will miss him much

@Scopes You and your family have my deepest condolences. Zunnie/Jan taught me A LOT about creating maps for Renegade. I’m currently creating something in his honor that I will be placing in current project and future projects to come. I will make it available to download for everyone once I am finished. We miss him a lot!

Anyone who is going, please send along all the kind words from us at MPF.  Especially myself, as I got to know him very well over the past 7 years.  And if anyone from the family wants to talk about him or anything don't hesitate to send them my way.

I have also spoken with his brother and such a tragic end to a beautiful soul.
 
may his soul RIP and live on forever in Renegade.
 
i know I have not Been on best terms with MPF but if you could please organise a weekend of his maps in his honour I will he happy to pay for it. Just PM
 
Miss you Zman!!!!!!

I didn't speak with him much, but when I did he was always good for a laugh or two Joined his server a few times when he was testing maps and such, joined teamspeak and chatted with him. 
 
He did a lot of great things for ren. Very innovative with his ideas. His name was plastered on a lot of things I enjoyed. My only regret is not getting to know him better.
 
My heart goes out to his family and friends who are grieving his death. I hope they find a way to deal with his death, I know it will not be easy.

@Cronus migrated GSA master to a temporary host tonight prior to the move, so server owners need to restart their FDS's to be listed on the current master.
 
When our host's migration is completed, we'll update the DNS to point back to the original one (which will require an FDS restart).

A side note: It may be possible to reload instead of restarting the FDS if you're on DA by editing the GSA master list to point to a different URL: renmaster-backup.cncirc.net though our tests with our own server didn't yield success.

Similar to today's maintenance, the server that is hosting the GSA list will be moved to a new rack cabinet tomorrow.

Sorry for not putting a notice! Datacenter is moving server racks to a new rack in the facility. Updates below.
 
Update @ 8:18am CST: On-site staff are having difficulty with these moves and taking much longer than expected. They are moving as quickly as possible and we are currently hoping to have the maintenance done for all customers by 11am CST, with some back online sooner than that. Please accept our sincere apologies for the additional downtime.

All servers are indeed empty.

Can you elaborate a bit on what it is not doing correctly? My renlist works fine.. i wonder
