ok, just dont remember seeing it before

When I start ren from renlist, I get a warning,says Warning: Renegade was not started via the launcher. The auto-update did not run and you may not have the latest version. I just reinstalled my OS, and system drivers and ren is a total reinstall. I just hit OK and the game plays fine, just wondering how to stop the warnng from coming up
