Forum Upgrade As you guys can probably see we (read Genesis) have been upgrading the forums to the latest version of IPB 4. Site Visuals The forums are still original styled which will be updated soon enough Kenz3001 will probably create a new design logo as well once he got some time to do it Downloads Area The downloads are available as well but for some reason you cannot view files in a root game category, only its subcategories. While this is a bit annoying we will try to fix this asap. Other than that, the downloads should be working fine. Donations For now if you would like to donate to MPF you should send it manually to the paypal email address below: [email protected] FeaR will take a look at it and post about it then. Most units, buildings and code are in place now and are functioning properly. I am hoping that by releasing this Test Installation we will see some players join up from time to time to REALLY test the balance of the game. We can hopefully pin down any major issues before we do a full public release upcoming January 2016. Notes: There is currently no launcher available for this test version so you will need to edit the shortcut properties on your desktop and/or startmenu and change your nickname. Next go into your StartMenu and run the TCW2 Configuration utility to set your resolution and options. After that you can simple double click on the shortcut called Tiberium Crystal War 2 Test to have it join our test server. Thanks everyone for joining and testing the client. It was offline for a few months due to GameSpy shutting down and the Launcher stopping to work because of it. - Introduction - To run a Renegade Dedicated Server you need to install the Renegade FDS (Renegade Free Dedicated Server). A dedicated server is basically a command prompt type program which allows for Renegade Clients to connect and play on the server. Dedicated servers are usually unattended and you cannot play as the host while running a dedicated server. Running a dedicated server also enables you to run SSGM 4.0 and/or other special modifications which are unavailable for the game client. - MPF Public FDS Package - You can now download a prepared package of the FDS with DA 1.92 and TT 4.6 applied, source code included with examples @ - Downloads - You can download the RenegadeFDS installation file on for example multiplayerforums over here: http://multiplayerforums.com/index.php?/files/file/8-renegade-fds-1037zip/ - Installation - After you have installed the Renegade FDS, copy the contents of the serverfiles folder from the 4.0 server download into the FDS folder. Edit server.ini, svrcfg_cnc.ini, tt.cfg and ssgm.ini as per the documentation in this topic. You then also need to install the Visual C++ runtime libraries and the DirectX runtimes from the "redist" folder. The server.exe file in the 4.1 server download is the one you should be using as it has been modified. You do not need to apply the "no gameplay pending" patch to it as that patch is now a server.ini option. Make sure anticheat.ini is in the data folder otherwise the anti-cheat will probably kick you even with stock renegade files. - Requirements - When running the server in Westwood Online Mode (or XWIS these days) you require a valid serial number to run the server. This can be a FDS Serial or your Renegade Client serial. In GameSpy mode there are no requirements. - Notes for WOL Mode (XWIS) - To get passed the WOL installation for the RenegadeFDS you need to enter a (fake) serial number that starts with 0669. For example: 0669714956637887900319 ( Note: This is a fake serial and you cannot host a server in XWIS/WOL mode with this serial, it is only provided for you so you can get passed the installation dialogs. )

We will work out all units, buildings and assets as much as we can to make it ejoyable and fun for everyone. Play with the technician as your spawn character in the buildings of the Red Alert universe where you can purchase more advanced units after your first Ore Truck deposit. On our server suitable for 50 players work as a team and organize rushes, through tactics and lead your team to victory with a broad range of units such as the Allied Light Tank, Allied Medium Tank, Soviet V2, Soviet Heavy Tank and the Soviet Mammoth Tank. Also available are the Demolition Trucks and the Superweapon Atomic Bombs for those big explosions getting rid of any enemy unit or structure in a blast. The game will have dynamics such as 'tied to structure purchase options' meaning you lose purchase items as buildings are destroyed, and of course the always fun 'manual ore harvesting' we all love to do. This plugin allows players to type !stuck or !unstuck to teleport them to the last known good location when they get stuck for some reason. The last known good location is usually the location where they spawned at or last changed character. This includes the location of a crate in case they get the character crate. If they are inside a vehicle while stuck it will be destroyed, they will be refunded the cost of that vehicle, and then teleported back to the last known good location. You can configure a timer in the configuration for this command. The player must wait that time before they are actually teleported, you want to set this above 10 seconds usually to prevent them from 'quickly going back base' after a beacon has been placed for example. The plugin checks their current and stuck position, if they moved too much they wont be teleported back to their last good position. They are not really stuck then. To use the plugin add it to your [Plugins] section like for example below: [Plugins]00=BanSystem.dll01=Mute.dll02=mpf_unstuck_plugin.dllAt the bottom of ssgm.ini add a section containing this to configure a global setting: [Unstuck]Unstuck_Timer=15You can also configure it per map by adding entries like this for every map (mapnames are ALL lowercase): [c&c_field.mix_Unstuck]Unstuck_Timer=30- 2 comments
