Renegade Load Screen

Anyway to get the Renegade load screen to load faster?? Before I had to wipe and reload my computer the renegade load screen was loading almost instantly(no more then 7-8 seconds) After I reloaded Renegade and all that stuff, I sit there for a full 45 seconds on the load screen.  Anybody know why that might happen, or what I can do about it?

Create a blank file in your data folder called "always.dep."

Create a blank file in your data folder called "always.dep."

While this does indeed make it load faster, it's not recommended as it bypasses a lot of the level loading stuff that scripts 4.0 does before you load the map and will cause lag throughout the game for you when your loading information from the map.

I hardly notice the lag at all. If there is any lag, I don't mind it.
