My buddy is called "Cheju" and died 2 years ago of old age.

He was a mix of Burmese/Siamese and lived longer than the average for either breed.

Cheju lived with some close friends, and we developed a special bond over the years. When I arrived he would raise his paw and give me a high-5.

If he wanted up, I would lean over with my leg stretched out and he would then climb up and sit on my shoulders. This was his favourite spot as he was higher than the other cats and dogs, and he always watched what I was doing and wanted to smell anything new I picked up.

In his last couple of years he spent more time on my shoulders, and would keep me company all day chatting in my ear. I used to imagine he was criticising me for not doing things how a cat would.

I miss my opinionated furry collar.
