Hi,

 

So I was trying to play renegade earlier, (and some other times.) I would go to do something, but I freeze when say, shoot someone for example, and I freeze, and the only way to be able to leave the game is when I restart my computer. Can anyone hlep me resolve this?

Are you running 4.0??? newmaps server requires 4.0 client to run properly

@Mauler I have 4.0. As I can still download maps from ren.

I got some similar problem when I click the Num + button. My game still play but I can't control it - all my keyboard stops responding on renegade, only ALT+Q (RenHotkey) helps

Well, after trying to play on that Exodus co-op server, I froze there too. I didn't fix anything yet.

Until you get the freezing issue resolved. You probably do not have to restart the computer.

 

Open task manager and click the processes tab, sort by name, find game2.exe and end that process.

I have finally got this issue resolved! After my graphics card started not working about 3 months ago, i replaced that and the motherboard, so after some testing with both XP on one HD and possibly 7 on the other hard drive, I can play ren again! Woo Hoo!
