This mod is a lot of fun but holy hell playing alone is unfair Those damn mutants beat the crap out of me.

I have been getting that myself a lot lately. Do not feel like doing a clean install or wasting time troubleshooting it. Takes all of a few seconds to close and relaunch, then usually I am good.

I played Mutant CO-OP for the first time today. Pretty cool / fun. Please note for anyone that has yet to play. CO-OP can not be stressed enough as those bots are a bitch and respawn quickly. Take a lot of friends into battle with you for this one! Nice work on this project!

Did I read that correctly that you were trying to "upgrade" to Vista 64? OK Vista is a POS only second to the old Windows ME. Backup data start from scratch / format drive Install Win7 64 fresh.

Any AV has the potential to cause HD performance issues if it starts a scan while you are playing a game. I have used most of them without issue, including AVG. Really just need to make sure you do a good job of setting up the scan rules and schedule. I also do not agree with not having an AV. Sure if you are careful blah blah blah. Crap happens and having AV to save your butt is a good thing. It's cheap insurance that can save you from a whole lot of hurt.

You do not specify sys specs like total ram and available ram while Ren is loaded. Would be curious as to things like that.. Also as MDK mentioned, defrag can be a HUGE help if your drive is badly fragmented.

It sucks but this type of activity has been going on for years off an on, and it's not just in Renegade. Although Renegade seems to be much more suceptible with its aging code and reliance on a very non-robust xwis service. We will outlast the little cowards that hide behind their keyboards thinkng they are so bad ass. Dont let this stuff discourage you, we will get through it, over it, around it etc. Typically the losers that do this crap are leading self descructive lives and eventually shit does catch up with them.
