connection and lag issues

lately Im having lots of issues with loading game.. I have an older computer, but it was a high end gaming computer just a few years ago, and ren shouldnt cause it issues.

 

for example, when I start the game, it takes much longer to load a map then it should ( i tried it on Jelly, and same issue, so its not this server)

 

the while ingame, my FPS jumps all over, and is often very low.. sometimes so bad that I leave game

 

 

wondering if there are any files I should look for in the ren folder that might be causing this, or i should delete some, etc..

 

the other thing I will check.. my sons are home for the holidays, and the bandwidth here might be an issue.  but doesnt seem to affect anything else

 

 

sometime this year.... new computer and fresh install!    (just dont want to reinstall right now.. likely it wouldnt do anything)

You do not specify sys specs like total ram and available ram while Ren is loaded. Would be curious as to things like that..

 

Also as MDK mentioned, defrag can be a HUGE help if your drive is badly fragmented.

tried turning off virus program today.. worked much better... ive been using AVG free.. maybe an update is messing it up.. used it for years...    any one have suggestions for virus program that might work better with gaming?
