  1. I STILL find it hilarious that nobody but me sees the Scorpion as one of, if not the, best tank for nod. I flanked a GDI rush last night and killed 2 Mastodons and 1 Mammoth in a single run, and still got away alive. Despite the common view, this map IS balanced, Nod's tanks just require more specialized use, while GDI's are more built to charge into enemy lines without a care.

  2. I say leave it in for now so everyone can still get used to the units, although if it is crashing every single time I would take it out.

The map was made really well and I'm starting to get used to the units (since I never played CNC 4 I just bought the most expensive thing i could get)

It will only crash if the remaining time reaches about 15 minutes. If the map is decided by base destruction prior to this, the server will be fine and things will continue normally.

  3. agree fun map .

I have only play it 3 x now and each time nod seem to get raped gdi have the upper hand and keep nod pinned in base ir not rape them .

this can be down to the team maybe and the fact falco is always gdi .

I'd put it down to the fact that more often than not people don't use NOD's tanks properly. For instance, I've seen very few people use the Scorpion, and out of those, I'm the only one I've seen use it to it's full power. If you hide behind something, then ambush the enemy, the Scorpion's secondary fire, while it only works at point-blank, can kill a Mammoth in 2 shots and a Mastodon in 3. The other night I flanked a rush of a Mastodon and 2 Mammoths and completely destroyed the Mastodon before I was noticed.

  4. Played last night and noticed three things:

    1. Using the Chronosphere spins you like a top, making units that have a blind spot useless for base infiltration.

    2. If facing the Obelisk with a Refractor, the Obelisk won't shoot unless you're right on top of it. (Unsure if this is intended or not, since Refractors are supposed to be immune to frontal damage and the Obelisk could just be smart)

    3. The effectiveness of the Refractor's shielding is inconsistent. often times the same exact attack will deal two different amounts of damage. (A volley of missiles did nothing, however a second volley hitting the same spot ignored the shield)

  5. oke guys, thanks for the hints and tips :)

I got win7-64 runing on my SSD finaly, i had to do much tricks to get my email, adresbook, bookmarks and passwords from XP to Win7, and its all working, including my old printer (Epson1290S), iam happy now :iceylove:

Oke guys (and dolls), so can i just install the first decade with administrator? iam going to have a try,i will see if it will work or not, i hope it will work

Should install just fine. So long as it's run as admin you should be able to play in no time.

  6. Ah, k. Now that I'm back in action my nerves will be a bit calmer. Believe it or not, I'm completely different outside of this community. I just get really excited when I'm here because these forums were my last connection to Ren for the longest time. Over the next week or so you'll see some changes, no doubt. Anyways, even when I first joined the clan I didn't really care if I was accepted. I just felt it was the best way to voice my dedication to Ren and the community in specific. Tag or no tag I'm MPF for life, and that's not going to change. This community will always be home to me.

P.S. I'll probably re-apply in a week or two once I'm re-situated and my calmer, more mature side takes over this area of my life. And next time, do me a favor and if something like this happens again, send me a message with an explanation as to why so I don't need to make another topic like this. It's easier for everyone IMHO.

  7. You know, TELLING me this would have helped. And sorry, I got really bored without Ren, and this was my last connection to it, a became a real forum stalker and I know it <_< (I'm not proud of it either)

  8. On win 7 it should be a simple install and done. I have win 7 64 ultimate and didn't have to do anything. Home could be different. If you have any problem at all, a simple compatibility with win X should do the trick then.

I've installed it on Windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 8.1. Ultimate has more features but it doesn't alter the basic functionality of the OS, so it doesn't matter which version it is. So long as you don't try to install it on something older than the game is built for or something so much newer it lacks the code the game was built around you shouldn't have to do anything special. Especially with TFD which was rebuilt for newer OS's.

  9. I was thinking along the lines of have the AI be informed what vehicle their target is driving and it's size so that they can compensate for it. Also have them check the direction their target is facing so they can stay out of it's way. They don't need to be smart, just less stupid. Their biggest flaw is the only info they're given is the location of their target, nothing else.

  10. A zone with negative gravity could be fun. It could be used as a lift, and if you placed a very slim area with strong negative gravity, and placed another zone with strong positive gravity right on top, you could create a kind of shock pad. The bottom zone stops your fall and the top keeps you from bouncing back up. You wouldn't be able to jump but assuming it was like pit of cotton, it would make sense because cotton would just absorb the force of your jump.

  11. Hmm... I can't help seeing as I don't make maps and would have no clue if such a script exists, but it sounds fun. Maybe see what the maps moon and mars did and duplicate that? Unless you're going for something more complicated, such as anti-gravity lifts?
