I've messed with them a bunch moving the scales all around its always off in one way or another. Even when its set to dark its looks like it has a white fog over everything.  One of these days im going to try a different monitor just to rule it out next step will be trying the on board gfx card instead. 

Looks like the updater works...except I had alreayd installed it manually at least that error is gone now

The TT launcher replaces Game.exe thats why most people get auto updates/errors when its down.
Afaik TT shut down the update server because people who auto-update get problems, you need to manually download the update from their website at http://www.tiberiantechnologies.org
Only problem with this is that ppl now get a wrong firewall notice :/

I am going to update the server now and install a couple of new maps, the tag system Mauler and me have been working on and a bunch of code fixes.
This is a major upgrade and it might take me a little while to complete, think <60 minutes.
New maps that will be installed:
C&C_Deth_River
C&C_Godwana
C&C_Riverfalls
C&C_Silent_Dawn
C&C_Urban_Rush_b2
The server will be offline during the update.
Server has been updated and is ONLINE again

Thanks alot Zunnie!! really appreciate it and Im sure my son will too,  a couple training sessions after I get this fixed up and we will have a new member to the server!

You can download the needed server files there, it is called SSGM 4.0
The source code is also available which you're gonna need if you want to add new crates and stuff or do other special things which are not possible in the editor alone.

for some reason the screen resolution messes up the weapon text will fix asap!

Alright guys i have now finished testing and editing the custom 4.0 hud that uses the stock renegade hud, you can now fully customize the colors of the text, images and the whole hud a bit easier now... i really wanted to make a custom hud but I didn't want to use anyone else's hud as a base, so i recreated the renegade hud to learn how to use the new and edit the hud.ini file that is included in 4.0
 
 
The reason i did this is to provide a base 4.0 shader hud that is easier to modify and create your own designs, and add color where you could not add before with the texture hud_main.dds
 
Changes made
 
The health bar displays health level in color form, could not find a way of add it without errors/ or not displaying colors properly
The selected weapon text is now been moved to the middle, aligned it with the credit, time text info
Disabled vehicle steering image and gunner images... could not find a way of add it without errors
