not a valid win32 application

dubstar

Question

hey guys, I really want to try out the new game you're hosting :) I have regged and downloaded but when I launch the game it says it is not a valid win32 application, I did download the 32bit version.

Obviously the game was compiled on a higher OS than XP :(

would it be possible to build a version of the client on XP so it will run on XP? hope this can be done

ok I re-downloaded the 32bit version and the same happens, I also re-downloaded visual C++ 2013.

iirc windows vista, 7 and 8 executable files (exe) are different to XP executable files. For the client to run on anything lower than Vista I'm guessing you need to compile a version of the client from a system using windows XP (I could be wrong tho, maybe there are some settings in Visual Studio to compile for 2000/XP?)

anyway I would really like to try this game out and hope to do so in the future :thumbsup:

Damn that sucks man, i thought the 32 bit one would work on XP too. :(

I dunno if they plan to fix that, XP is also abandoned by Microsoft so i doubt they gonna fix it.

Buy (read download) Windows 7 somewhere :) or 8.1 with ClassicShell :)
