help renegade wont let me play VFS error

C&C renegade wont load keep getting error that says : (in the top left hand corner) fatal error (mid section) 

failed to open VFS. please make sure that all game and launcher instances are closed.

 

i am running scripts 4.2 newest play renegade under user name : asd13 only started doing this today tried to load game 10 or 12 times. i have restarted the computer as well and tried agian still no luck.....   

 

pls help if possible would love to keep playing this game

Try reinstall the 4.2 update: http://www.tiberiantechnologies.org/files/tt-scripts-4.2.3.exe

Also, where is your game installed? If it is in the Program Files folder i suggest moving it somewhere else.

You should also make sure your anti-virus doesn't delete the file called VFS.dll, mabye your anti-virus triggers on this file?

Add it to the safe list so it doesn't get quaranteened or deleted.

ummm i tried to reinstall and im gettinf an error so im guessing some actual renegade files got corrupted so probably gonna reinstall  some time today and move file so yeah thx
