UltraAOW Stealth Weekend
In the Stealth Weekend every unit you buy will be stealthed, your spawn soldier, your engineer, even your Havoc
All vehicles and simple base defenses are stealth too, including AI bots from the !support command.
When?
The Weekend of Friday the 10th of January till Monday morning the 13th of January.
TT 4.0 Update is Required
The Tiberian Technologies Update 4.0 for Renegade is required to play on the server.
You can download it on their official website if you do not already have it.
It adds lots of extra's, anti-cheat and an ingame automatic map-downloader, awesome stuff!
Active Server Plugins
Of course the server will run our own mpf_newmaps.dll plugin which adds additional functionality to the server such as Veterancy and Special Crates & Power-ups.

Unban-Spree @ MPF
Since we finally got around to enabling the Anti-Cheat we decided to review our banlist.
A couple of hardcore offenders remain on our banlist forever-and-ever, they either break rules all the time and/or have a high level of insulting comments to MPF;
We feel we don't need those players in the server anymore at all.
To everyone else: Happy New Year and those that were banned are now unbanned.

Did you know we have a channel for all you mappers out there on IRC?
A lot of people join there to talk about mapping and help each other with things about mapping.
The RenHelp section is led by Mauler from MPF and the forums for it can be reached through the domain http://www.renhelp.net or just go on the MPF forums over here.
There are also lots of public tutorials available there to help you make your map.
Developers
Some of our Developers are in this channel a lot to answer questions and help with your mapping.
PwnCall, roszek, ImperialKaskins and Mauler to name a few are there often.

The NewMaps Server and New Maps
We are generally testing maps on our Test server before throwing them into rotation for a full test.
If you created a map feel free to submit it in our downloads area over here and we will test it for you and maybe add it to our server.
UltraAOW Special Editor on SVN
If you made a map or more and we think you are really good we might give you access to our UltraAOW specific editor which has a lot of assets, vehicles, characters, textures and other files ready for use in maps. As well as custom scripting if you need anything special on your map(s).

Nah..  I have been working on this for litterally months.. Found someone that had enough knowledge to make a converter into PHP.
 
Then I learned a bit and added more things...
 
Even had to make a custom anope encryption module to work with the existing posix style encryption.
 
 
I went away for over an hour and everything is still running so must be good!!

I have switched from Atheme Services to Anope !
 
There are tons of features that I and the other admins will use along with you guys, lots more fun toys for me to play with

The End is the Beginning
The news that you've all been patiently waiting for has arrived. Renegade X is a free multiplayer Tactical FPS game that will be released on February 26, 2014. The release will coincide with the 12th birthday of C&C Renegade.
Renegade X is not an ordinary game. We are bringing the popular "Command & Conquer" RTS series to ground level as a large-scale team-based tactical shooter. Players will be able to fight for two unique teams - the Global Defense Initiative (GDI), a UN international military force committed to world order and peacekeeping, and the Brotherhood of Nod, a messianic international terrorist network that aims to push humanity into the next stage of human evolution.
Players will be able to manage their own economies, choose from over 30 weapons, 15 vehicles, and call in nuclear strikes, Ion Cannons, and airstrikes, and much more.
Each team will have a base of operations that composes of several key structures. Each structure has its own purpose. For example, the GDI Barracks gives GDI players access to special weapons and characters. If the Barracks is destroyed by Nod forces, GDI will lose the ability to purchase these special weapons.
We believe that this gamemode - "Command & Conquer Mode" - can potentially revolutionize the FPS genre. It is the gem that went unnoticed for many years. Now is the time to uncover it.
Release Date
Renegade X version 1.0 will be released on February 26th, 2014. Our journey began in 2007 - we released five betas for Unreal Tournament 3 in 2009 and 2010, and we released our singleplayer campaign Black Dawn in 2012.
Our original promise was to release Renegade X version 1.0 in 2013. The game went into its private beta phase in June 2013. We then decided to postpone the release from December to February, as the team believes that an additional few weeks of polishing is necessary. We'd like to deliver a stable and balanced game, and the extra development and testing time would produce that. We realize that this may disappoint some fans, but keep in mind that we are a non-profit team working on this game on our spare time. Our team has had six successful releases in the past, and we have always launched on time. This will be the first time that we postpone the game's deadline.
The closure of Victory Games (EALA) is definitely a factor in our delay. Without going into much detail, Victory Games was going to provide a supportive role in advertisement, distribution, and server and client-side features. Now that Victory Games has closed, we have a few more tasks on our hands.
The multiplayer release will be a beta. That means that although all core features will be in the game, it will not be the finished product. We plan on releasing patches, new maps, and new features throughout 2014. You will be able to post your suggestions for the game and issues with the game, and we will address all of them. With a game as large scale as Renegade X, a public beta is necessary to iron out any glitches and balance fixes that are necessary.
We will be pumping out a lot of news, videos, interviews, and updates from now until release. Can you keep up with us?

The leader of Nod's "Black Hand" special forces is this man: Gideon Raveshaw. General Raveshaw is a short, cold, unforgiving man. He possesses unmatched charisma and intelligence. The name "Gideon" is Hebrew for "Mighty Warrior"... that's pretty befitting for a man wielding a railgun that is almost his own size. Check him out.

Mendoza
Carlos Mendoza is mercenary who came to Nod after his methods became too extreme even for the extremists he was working for. He stays in General Raveshaw's employ due to the amount of money he receives for his services. Mendoza has a very confident and arrogant fighter, often insulting his enemies during firefights and gloating. He carries the electrifying Volt Autorifle.

Sniper Rifle
Here is the new and improved 500-credit sniper rifle. Shiny.

Sidearm Weapon Reveal
In Renegade X, all characters spawn with a default silenced pistol. We will be giving players the option to customize their weapon loudout. Advanced characters will be given the option to exchange their silenced pistol for either the Machine Pistol, a short-ranged fast-firing weapon, or the Heavy Pistol, a handgun with incendiary armour-piercing rounds. We will be discussing other secondary weapon customization options in later updates.

X-Mountain
Kenz, one of our beta testers, has begun working on Renegade X's first fanmap, "X-Mountain". The first version of X-Mountain was featured in the UT3 version of Renegade X back in 2009. It quickly became a favourite, and now Kenz is working on a remake for the upcoming release. It's looking really good, check it out below.

IK & MPF Weekend
This whole weekend we will run only maps from ImperialKaskins and the MPF modified Westwood maps.

It's not bad like it was before I jumped in and started working on IRC again.
 
The server splitting is from the USA to EU in rbx...  Routing issues are higher going overseas.

Hey Guys,
as announced earlier this week we invite all of you to join our beta once our next beta version is ready.
Here is what you need to do to get in:
- Please provide your Steam Community Profile page link
- Register on http://www.renegade-x.com and post the link to your profile over there
- Post the link to your Profile here on MPF forums.
Terms:
- Only useres registered on MPF before 24 october 2013 are allowed to get in. Though If you have someone that is a close friend to you that you think would also be of help testing the beta shoot me a pm and we will add him aswell
- You are not allowed to publically discuss the content of the beta or to show screenshots or videos UNTIL betaversion 9.2 arrives. The beta that you will enter will be beta version 9.0. Version 9.2 is currently scheduled for two weeks from now. So in about two weeks from now you will be allowed to post youtube vids etc to help us letting the world know about the game. Though highlighting of bugs should be avoided obviously.
- If you leak info, screenshots etc before beta version 9.2 arrives we will ban you from the beta wich we can based on your steam login since you can only run the beta when beeing online and authenticated via steam.
We are currently putting the finishing touches on beta version 9.0 wich will propably still take us the full weekend so i think it wont make it till sinday but is scheduled for monday now. As soon as it is released we will add you to the internal betaforums where you will find the downloadlink. We dont want to add you sooner since the current beta version 8.5 is already a month old and we dont want you to bother with that when version 9.0 is just arround the corner.
Ok so if you want to join post your info (steam login, renegade-x forums username and lonk to your MPF profile) and then i will update this post once version 9.0 is ready (most likely monday).

rozi (or roszek ) is now promoted to a new Administrator at MPF
He will be taking over the coding and running of the NewMaps 4.0 server for Renegade etc.
roszek knows his way around in the Renegade engine very well too.
You can approach roszek for anything related to NewMaps in the future.
