In the month May 2014 we will be battling for the game Supreme Commander provided to you by CireX from the MPF community.
You must be ranked 1st on our Renegade NewMaps 4.1 server.
Also you must be a member of our forums.
To receive your copy you must have a Steam Account @ http://store.steampowered.com

We've decided to purchase a new server that is a bit more powerful and at a better cost to us.
 
While it sucks to reinstall everything, getting MUCH better hardware while saving some money was a no brainer!
 
Late late tonight when the server is pretty empty we will move the NewMaps FDS to it.
 
There may be more downtime over the weekend, but we are hoping it will be fast.

Well I recommend a bit better device, I have a 512mb videocard, and 4GB RAM and still get crashes-to-desktop sometimes....

Tomorrow morning at around 9:00 AM Dutch time the serverpc will go offline for 30 mins up to a few hours (unknown).
The connection of the serverpc will be 10 times better than the 100Mbit it has now: 1000Mbit or 1Gbit
During this upgrade the servers running on this serverpc will be unavailable: NewMaps, TF2, TS3

ya will need a beefy cpu for udk (backing lights and such) sugest somthing like a intel core 15 4670k around £170 an amd 8350 is not that bad a choice but things will go much faster with a good intel
geta nvida 650ti or 660 (there abiut the same thing around £150
get a good mobo i recommend an ASUS (make sure it suports your cpu ) any were from £40 up
get a 600watt psu for all that unless you get a haswell intel cpu ya could go for a 400watt (get a brand name and make sure its 80 pluss certified) around £70
lots of ram 16 gb + for making suff for udk £115 up
any hdd, ssd, dvd, bluray blah blah blah
any case you want
 
there are some good cpu mobo ram bundles out there
 
to save some moneys its always a good idea to butcher ya old rig for stuff hdd dvd burnner case blah blah

as announced earlier this week we invite all of you to join our beta once our next beta version is ready.
Here is what you need to do to get in:
- Please provide your Steam Community Profile page link
- Register on http://www.renegade-x.com and post the link to your profile over there
- Post the link to your Profile here on MPF forums.
Terms:
- Only useres registered on MPF before 24 october 2013 are allowed to get in. Though If you have someone that is a close friend to you that you think would also be of help testing the beta shoot me a pm and we will add him aswell
- You are not allowed to publically discuss the content of the beta or to show screenshots or videos UNTIL betaversion 9.2 arrives. The beta that you will enter will be beta version 9.0. Version 9.2 is currently scheduled for two weeks from now. So in about two weeks from now you will be allowed to post youtube vids etc to help us letting the world know about the game. Though highlighting of bugs should be avoided obviously.
- If you leak info, screenshots etc before beta version 9.2 arrives we will ban you from the beta wich we can based on your steam login since you can only run the beta when beeing online and authenticated via steam.
We are currently putting the finishing touches on beta version 9.0 wich will propably still take us the full weekend so i think it wont make it till sinday but is scheduled for monday now. As soon as it is released we will add you to the internal betaforums where you will find the downloadlink. We dont want to add you sooner since the current beta version 8.5 is already a month old and we dont want you to bother with that when version 9.0 is just arround the corner.
Ok so if you want to join post your info (steam login, renegade-x forums username and lonk to your MPF profile) and then i will update this post once version 9.0 is ready (most likely monday).

REQUIREMENTS
If you were registered BEFORE 24 October 2013 you are entitled to enter the Beta Testing Sessions for the game Renegade-X which is a Standalone rebuild of the Renegade game on the Unreal Development Kit running on the Unreal Engine 3 by Epic Games.
This game is gonna be awesome of course, some of us have already participated in past Beta's and because of our good relations with the Renegade-X team they decided to give our members the opportunity to help Beta Test the game into its final state.

Even if you know, who and what is attacking, you still will have a problem preventing it.
 
MPF blocks some software, they change the software,
MPF blocks an username, they change the username,
MPF blocks serial, they change the serial,
MPF blocks IP, they change IP.
 
A hacker will be always 1 step ahead. You could stop it for a while, but eventually it will make him only more angry and aggressive and it will not work for long. In the end computers, servers and the internet can't be protected against aggressive hackers, or you have to be a millionaire that has enough resources to maintain a datacenter with servers with better hardware as an entire botnet.
 
For a small community as this, we could hope this hacking player leaves the community ASAP or start to become an adult. This hacker is probably someone that has trouble handling his emotions. Someone that does not know when to stop once something happens. He can't handle problems as well on the regular ways as normal people do.
 
 
When normal people lose they spam: "<name> is a noob" or "<name> is a hacker" or "<name> is using an aimbot".
When Pro players lose they spam: "GG" or "NS" or "I do not like this map"
When a hackers lose they will: "DDOS attack!!!" or "hacking" or "cheating"
 
This is how games are played and will be played, to bad real pro players are rare these days. The respect for other players/users is getting more worse every year. But the good part is that Renegade has pretty polite players if you compare it to other games. To bad of these few RATS.

The worst part, it is probably a bot programmed to attack XWIS, nobody is DDOS attacking manual these days, humans have to sleep sometimes...

You could try to use mono, the alternative solution of .net 4.0. It will make sure your computer can read vb2010. But it does not come with the vb2010 forms. So it only solves half of our problem. Depending on wich part of the .Net is not working... it could be a solution if your computer cannot Run .net very well.
