After a busy summer of sleeping over 70% of the day and doing little else, I figured I'd hop back into Renegade, but 4.2 absolutely refuses to install. It doesn't detect my installation, it won't let me select the installation path when I open the browse window, and even if I manually type in the path it doesn't allow me to install, the button is just grayed out.

Welcome back, m'lord.

About time the vanilla renegade maps that were actually worth playing came back. High noon and Alpine day personal favorites. Only risk I see is players dropping due to low FPS on Fjords.

Ofc, I've got other ideas, some will be unrelated, others will connect to this. All of them more or less possible. One of the main ones that will come with this is secondary weapons (Done before, but will pair well with this). Coaxial MGs on MBTs and the like, as well as possibly tertiary weapons, such as MG nests on the top of an MBT's turret, which I'd have under the control of passengers (might be difficult to do that one, would revolve around a second "vehicle" attached to the main one, which would have their health, stealth status and such synced, but different ammo supplies). Also going to look into modifiable armaments (An Apache, for example, could choose between air-to-air missiles, air-to-ground missiles, and Hydra rockets), chinooks being able to carry other vehicles, functioning planes, and enabling weapons to know what they're aiming at, so that you can't start shooting air-to-air missiles at ground targets (No free fire, requires target lock).

Infinite ammo used to be the case here on MPF, quite a while ago. Having to watch your ammo count adds another layer of skill, and doesn't promote spraying and praying to find SBHs, IMHO. I plan to make a map in the future and even tanks will have limited ammo. Not so little that you'll be left stranded in a fight, but low enough that it would discourage whoring. OFC, there will be a supply depot at bases, and I'll include a modified APC which lacks a weapon but is capable of holding a supply amount of ammo which can be given to nearby allies, which regenerates over time. This way you'll need teamplay to even keep vehicles shooting. The second something has infinite ammo, it can be used to pin someone in their base indefinitely, and ruins games. When someone goes back for ammo, that's your chance to do something.

Once again, video explains everything.

So it was the middle of a game on Deth River, and Nod was winning hands down. AGT was destroyed, and then GDI got a revive and restored it. But the second time it was killed, it didn't really die. It had no health bar, and couldn't be hurt, but it continued shooting at people anyways. I don't know if this has something to do with the AGT on this map in specific, or if it's a universal issue. Regardless, I took a video of it with Fraps, so you can see the issue.

There are several AMX tanks. That one in particular is the AMX-13/90, identifiable by the hammerhead shape on the end of the barrel.

The original game was made for an old version of Windows. Right click the icon to launch the game, select the "Compatibility" tab, check the box under "Compatibility mode", and select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" in the drop-down menu. Then check the box next to "Run this program as administrator", under "Settings" on the same tab, just in case.

I didn't even think about that, but now that you mention it, with the new TB detector and everything else blocked by the anti-cheat, I don't see any reason for you to be kept banned. Obviously everyone will want to scan you a few times with the detector, and even then they'll still be suspicious, but I'm all for letting you back in, you definitely don't seem like a bad person to me. Besides, what ever happened to "Innocent until proven guilty"? Thinking back on the matter, you pulled some serious BS sometimes but it's not like we don't have other people doing the same shit in game now, and they all come out clean. Will have to go over this with other mods, but best of luck.
