Server maintenance is still ongoing a bit. Setup a test renegade server to see if things appear to be less laggier (beyond network lag).
Ticket has been opened with regards to disk I/O performance as well.

This is just an ongoing update as to the lag complaints we've received over the last few months. We apologize for not showing the public this process. We've tried to keep the Administrators here apprised of our progress.
We have been working with OVH to isolate network issues that could be causing our players to lag. Right now, the belief is that OVH's points of presences are congested within the US causing some users/players to experience lag during certain times of the day.
We have been working with OVH support to bring it to their attention, but have only received a small handful of traceroutes that we have requested. We have received more than what was posted to the aforementioned topic, and one in particular has given OVH proof that there is network congestion - at least within Canada (Toronto area).
Quoting some excerpts from our tickets (OVH's replies):
It is indeed visible on our network links that there is some congestion. However,
as the traffic flow may vary during the day, just like you demonstrated via yourprevious capture, I will request you to provide me with the exact times that this situation hascaused you packet loss.and
I have escalated your issue to our network team to see if there is an alternate
route that your traffic can take in order to avoid those saturated links. Wewill update you as soon as we receive a response on their end. This, combined with the server maintenance we just announced, should at least partially resolve the lag complaints. Time will tell.

ATTENTION: Emergency server maintenance TODAY at 09:30/10:00 UTC-7 (Arizona). Server will be OFFLINE for several hours while we perform a host node REINSTALL to fix performance issues.
We believe the server has a misconfiguration on the host node that is causing performance to decrease with the virtual machines that run our network. This reinstall of the host OS will, we hope, correct that issue. We will keep you guys updated as progress happens via Twitter and Facebook (links below).
- 2015-07-22 @ 11:30 UTC-7: Maintenance is starting later than originally estimated. We hope to begin shortly.
- 2015-07-22 @ 11:42 UTC-7: Maintenance beginning. Server now offline.
- 2015-07-22 @ 12:42 UTC-7: Server boots. We are reconfiguring the environment for the new lighter virtualization system.
- 2015-07-22 @ 14:18 UTC-7: Server is up. Double checking everything is alright.
- 2015-07-22 @ 17:23 UTC-7: Server performance seems better right now. Setup a PERFTEST server to test load.

I think I know the cause, but I don't know how to fix it while the server is online.
-
slight bump, since the topic was staged privately since last month.

If you already have 4.1, you just need to run UAC Launcher.exe or game.exe to auto-update to 4.2

The old mappack only includes up to Imperial Age D2. The new one includes D3 now.

Topic markers aren't working correctly for some reason. Trying to find a fix for it. It's a result of yesterdays error when the backup cron job failed and ate up all disk space on the server leaving nothing for the SQL server.

Killing Floor periodically goes on sale on Steam. I imagine Tripwire will run a Killing Floor (1) sale around April 21st in a couple weeks because of Killing Floor 2 being released then.
-
KF winners will be contacted sometime this week for prize awards. If anyone listed in the original post that is winning a copy of Killing Floor but doesn't want it, let us know.

The community reports section is just what it sounds like. Anyone can make a post. Only the creator of the post and moderators can read the post. You can only see the topics that you create.
Same goes for the ban/mute dispute sub-forum.
-
Can you elaborate about what you can't read? Where? There are a couple forums under the Renegade section that are confidential, but anyone can post there (they just can't see other people's topics).

Really old bug that I don't know why dblaney or IK haven't fixed yet. Told dblaney like 2+ months ago.

Ranks reset 1-2 days before the month ends?
