Its has improved a lot since the last time i played. Still is not Renegade tho.

Malware Issues

Power Issues

 

Probably be better searching google or youtube for some fixes.

Apparently a new host has been found and GSA will now continue to run. Drama over. This is still valid in case GSA ever does go down again in the future.

Today CnCNet decided to drop the Renegade Master Server List. Apparently it is no longer sustainable as the time and costs can be used elsewhere.

What will this mean?

Basically you will no longer be able to connect through the GSA tab on Renlist and it will appear blank:

 

 

If you have the server saved in your favorites this will not apply and you will still be able to join. There is a tutorial on how to add the server to your favorites list written by@WhiteNyte which can be found here: (edited with new server IP etc)

You can continue using Renlist to connect to the server through WOL if you use that as this is unchanged:

Alternatively you can use RenIP which you can download from our Downloads section here:

 

 

RenIP is rather like Renlist and will connect you to Renegade. Just a few simple bits to set up:

 

 

Click 'save' and then 'connect' and away you go.

Did you make sure enable perform on connect box was ticked? Try this one.

I am guessing its some sort script your using? Its not recognizing some sort of line/word in it. Pastebin it and let me have a look.

Ok some of you might be wondering what is going off with the server...

 

Basically we have had a lot of attacks recently (ddos) which stands for Distributed Denial Of Service. In short it floods the system and makes it unavailable until it crashes. You will have noticed increased lag spikes, warping and connection pending issues while playing. Even being disconnected from our server/s. This is all a result from a ddos attack and is not a client side issue.

We are currently in the process of migrating the renegade server to a new temporary host with access to a hardware firewall in an attempt to stop the attacks. We may choose to keep the new host based on whether it protects us or not, time will tell. Currently they are still trying to attack us, we are not alone and they are targeting other servers as well.

 

You will see some !commands etc not working properly how they are supposed to. We are working hard to fix the issues while we move across to the new host.

If you notice any issues that we might not have seen please mention it in this topic.

 

Finally the new server IP address for those that use renIP etc to connect is: 74.91.113.100:1337
